A former diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Keni Peter Adwok Nyaba, died in Brussels this morning.

She suffered stroke at the Belgian capital, Brussels, and died at the age of 38.

She was the elder daughter of South Sudan’s politician Peter Adwok Nyaba and national assembly MP, Abuk Payiti.

Ms Adwok started working as the 1^st Secretary for the then autonomous government of Southern Sudan before independence.

Family members say arrangements are in place to bring her remains back to South Sudan.
