Civil servants in four counties in Yei River State have raised concerns about the delay of their salaries.

They say the county authorities have not paid their salaries for the last three months.

Due to the concerns, three commissioners in the area visited their respective counties on Wednesday to discuss the matter.

Eye Radio’s reporter Kajawaya John in Kajo-Keji has details:

“When three commissioners of greater Keji-Keji visited county health departments, they met the medical workers. So from there the county health department raised concern about the issue of delay of the salary because since August up to now they didn’t receive the salary. That means the money of August was not received up to date. Now they appeal to commissioners of greater Keji-Keji as to why the salary delayed because other counties have received their salaries, especially in Yei River State headquarters. All civil servants have received their salary. So they raised that concern. Three commissioners were present. They said the salaries delays because maybe there is delay in transaction.”
