The Association for Media Development in South Sudan is organizing its Annual General Meeting in Juba today.
The new executive committee of the association will be elected tomorrow at the end of the two-day meeting.
This included the chairman, the secretary-general and then the treasurer and then three members of the executive committee.
“The media houses that are members of AMDISS are now 19, so 19 media houses that are members of AMDISS can contest in the this election and can be elected,” said AMDISS Treasurer Alfred Taban, in an exclusive statement to Eye Radio.
The new executive will serve the media houses in the country for a four-year term.
Prior to its annual general meeting, AMDISS officials started a tour to the different media houses to enlighten the journalists on the Code of Conduct and Ethics of Journalism Guide for South Sudan.
The tour started yesterday with Eye Radio and the Juba Monitor Newspaper.
