More than 2,000 people displaced in Wulu County of Lakes State are said to be in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

The state Relief and Rehabilitation Commission said the displaced are from Rumbek East, Rumbek Center, and others are from Western Equatoria state.

The State RRC Coordinator, Majok Matuet, said the IDPs lack essential non-food items.

“The total number is 2,176. They lack shelter, cooking material, health facility, and water,” said Mr. Matuet.

The IDPs fled their homes due to violence among different armed groups.
