The first incident was on December 1 when two men were ambushed and killed while they were travelling from Panyang Payam to Padiet Payam.

The second incident was on December 4 when some women and children were attacked while they were traveling between Duk and Canal.

Mr Latjor said following the accident, the area youth pursued the abductors and managed to recover 7 women, but four children remained with the abductors.

“They abducted 11 people, 7 women, and 4 children, after that the youth ran after them, and they recovered 7 women and the children remained with the abductors,” said Latjor.

On the same day, six women and a boy were allegedly abducted while trekking from Puoktap to Mareng, the Duk County headquarters.
