Yei gets more counties

The Governor of Yei River has issued a gubernatorial order establishing

13 counties in the state.

The counties have been created from the former four counties the state had since the creation of the 28 states.

The state Information Minister, Stephen Ladu told Eye Radio, that the state government will soon announce commissioners for the new counties.

He listed the new counties:

“We have Kajo-Keji County with its headquarters in Kajo-keji, Lainya County, with headquarters in Lainya, Yei County with headquarters in Yei, Kupera County, Morobo County, Lujulo County, Nyepo County

“Tore County, Otogo County, Liwolo County, Kangapo County, Mukaya county, and lastly Mugwo County and congratulations for the people of Yei River state and this will follow by appointment of New county commissioners”

He says the commissioners will be appointed in consultation with the communities.
