Youth group starts peace campaign

A youth group has started a nation-wide campaign for peace and reconciliation.

The South Sudan Forum of Peace and Unity for Change says it is training representatives from the 28 states to be messengers, who will help preach how communities can live peacefully.

The chairperson of the group, Henry Moga Cosmas told Eye Radio that they will sensitize people through rallies, workshops and seminars.

“We want to make sure that we reunite the 64 tribes; they unite and love each other and the refrain from all the negative aspects which create disunity,” Mr Moga said.

“Our achievement is to make sure that South Sudanese love each other regardless of wherever they come from or originated from,” he said.

This association was formed in July this year, shortly after the fighting between the government and the SPLM in Opposition forces in Juba.
