Wrestling has been banned in Lakes State. Authorities believe it results into violence.
On Tuesday, fighting occurred during a wrestling match in Dor Payam cattle camp, Awerial County.
During the incident, there was one of the men who was thrown down and fell unconscious; his relatives went on to start fighting,” James Marer, Director of Education in Awerial County, told Eye Radio’s Sundown program.
One person sustained critical injuries.
Mr Marer said any wrestling activity taking place in the county will be considered “illegal”.
