Lakes state ministry of Education says students in the state have performed poorly in the 2014 Primary Leaving Certificate examinations compared to 2013.

The State Education Minister, Dut, Makoi says the poor performance was mainly caused by rampant insecurity in the state.

“The overall performance stood at 83.7%, indicating a slight decline from 85 % of 2013,” Mr Makoi told Eye Radio

About 3207 sat the primary leaving school exams last year, of which 2686 passed and 425 failed.
