The Governor of Upper Nile State, Jacob Dollar Ruot, has dismissed and replaced several senior officials through a series of gubernatorial decrees issued yesterday.
In the State Ministry of Trade and Industry, Governor Dollar dismissed Wai Ayong Wai from his position as Director General with immediate effect.
In a separate order, he appointed Hadid Aduer Adiang as the new Director General of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
At the State Ministry of Health, the governor also dismissed Isaac Kong Ogilo from his role as Director General.
The dismissal takes effect immediately.
In another order, Governor Dollar appointed Dr Peter Magok Chuol as the new Director General at the State Ministry of Health.
In a related development, the governor issued a separate order promoting an official at the State Secretariat General.
According to the order, Lat Dut Kon, the Director of Protocol, was promoted to Grade 1 with immediate effect.
No reasons were given for the dismissals and the promotion.
