Uganda removes mandatory Yellow Fever vaccination certificate requirement for entry

• • 1 min read

Uganda’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is no longer a mandatory requirement for travellers entering Uganda.

According to a notice issued by the Ministry, travellers visiting the country are no longer required to present proof of Yellow Fever vaccination as an entry requirement.

The Ministry stated that the requirement is also no longer listed on Uganda’s official e-visa application portal or on the National Citizenship and Immigration Control (NCIC) website.

“Travelers to Uganda therefore do not need a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate for entry,” the Ministry said in its notice.

The change simplifies entry requirements for international visitors travelling to Uganda and is relevant for travellers and travel professionals planning journeys to the East African destination.

Travellers can refer to Uganda’s official immigration channels for the latest entry and visa requirements.

For further information regarding the notice, the Ministry has advised travellers to contact its Public Relations Office at 0417102600.
