Uganda denies deploying its troops along Sudanese border

The Ugandan army has denied media reports that it is deploying troops along the Sudanese border to fight the SPLM in Opposition forces.

The Sudanese news agency reported this week that 16,000 Ugandan soldiers were due to arrive near the border.

It said the move would be unacceptable and will present a danger to Sudan’s stability.

Ugandan Army spokesperson, Paddy Ankunda denied the allegation and referred to it as a bad lie.

Uganda troops were sent to South Sudan soon after clashes broke out in December 2013.
