Two people have been killed and four others were wounded following sectional conflict in Baidit Payam, North of Jonglei State capital, Bor.

The State Police Commissioner Maj. Gen. Elia Costa said violence, believed to have been triggered by a revenge killing erupted on Friday morning between two neighboring clans at the swampy area in Baidiit.

Speaking to Eye Radio this afternoon, Elia Costa says the police have not arrested the culprits due to the movement barrier as canons are the only transportation means in the area.

“Yesterday we had a case between the two clans that is Akuot and Nagany,” said General Costa.

“At around 5 AM, these two groups clashes between themselves in an area called Baidit payam of Bor County and resulted to the killing of two persons and four wounded”.

But he said the wounded are in stable condition at the state hospital in Bor.
