The deputy governor of Terekeka State, Clement Maring, has resigned due to a bad relationship with his boss, Governor Juma Ali Malou.
Mr Maring announced his resignation yesterday, saying their relationship worsened over the last three months following a communication barrier.
In his resignation letter, Mr Maring said the governor often moved with some state ministers between Juba and Terekeka.
While in Juba, the governor does not delegate responsibilities and sees a request to do so as internal opposition.
“It would be wise if you would have left the Ministers and the Secretary General or his deputy with me in Terekeka so that we carry out the work, but you don’t want to delegate power, it’s a one man’s show,” partly read the resignation letter seen by Eye Radio.
Mr Maring also cited suspicion, humiliation, accusations, and threats.
His resignation comes less than a month after Information Minister, Modi Lomindi, quit the state cabinet, citing corruption as one of his reasons for resigning.
At the time, Governor Juma Ali told Eye Radio that he had not received a copy of Mr Modi’s resignation.
Eye Radio’s efforts to contact Mr Juma on the resignation of his deputy, have not been successful.
But Mr Maring has also cited lack of transparency on financial and fuel matters as one of the reasons for his resignation.
