South Sudan Football Association has reconsidered its position on FIFA elections.
Last week, sports officials said South Sudan would back Gianni Infantino’s bid to be Fifa president.
However, in a meeting of the board of directors held in Juba on Wednesday, the President of South Sudan Football Federation said the young nation will stand with CAF executive committee to vote for Sheikh Salman Bin Khalifa of Bahrain.
“We decided that according to CAF Executive body’s decision, we should follow that decision and support Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa to be elected as FIFA president,” Mr Chabur Goc.
