The newly admitted clubs are Jamus FC Juba, Bentiu City FC, Kator FC Juba, and Wajuma FC Aweil.
SSFA Secretary-General Victor Lawrence Lual confirmed the decision following the SSFA’s extraordinary board meeting held on Wednesday, December 11.
He also announced that the Premier League Launch and Fixtures Release Ceremony is scheduled for December 21, 2024, with the inaugural matches set to kick off on December 23, 2024.
Lual urged all teams to finalize their preparations and ensure full compliance with the competition’s rules and guidelines.
The four new clubs will join the 10 teams previously announced on August 8, 2024, including Salaam Aweil, Hilal Wau, Holy Family Rumbek, and Malakia FC Juba, as well as Young Star Torit, Lion Hunters FC Yei, El Merriekh FC Juba, Bentiu Koryom FC, Bor Olympic FC, and Renk FC.
With this expansion, Juba will now dominate the league with three teams, reflecting the city’s growing prominence in South Sudanese football.
Lual emphasized the SSFA’s commitment to expanding football opportunities across the country, marking this expansion as a significant milestone for the sport in South Sudan.
