South Sudan beat Djibouti 2-0 in CECAFA Cup match

The Bright Stars have secured the country’s second ever win in international football match with a victory over Djibouti in the 2015 CECAFA Cup today.

According to Futaa website, Bruno Martinez and Dominic Abuyo struck in the 28th  minute.

South Sudan started the second half strongly creating a number of chances in the early stages but failed to utilize them. Dominic Abuyo sealed the win for South Sudan in the 72nd minute with a clinical finish from inside the area.

The win moves South Sudan to the summit of the group C. Another group C will see Sudan take on Malawi on Monday 23 November.

The CECAFA Cup is an international football competition consisting of the national teams of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA).
