S. Sudan cuts visa fee for Ugandan citizens

The directorate of Immigration has reduced the cost of the entry visa fee from 100 to 50 US dollars, for Ugandan citizens coming to South Sudan.

This follows a similar move by the Ugandan authorities last week, who announced that the reduction.

In a circular, signed by the Acting Director General of the Nationality, Passports and Immigration, Major General, Gakuoth Duop Kuich, the changes took effect on the 26th July, 2016.
The changes will be effective in all border points.

However, the circular issued by the South Sudan immigration department only mentions Ugandan citizens, it is not clear if the reduction also applies to other nationals.

Uganda says it reduced of the visa fee as part of efforts to promote its tourism sector.
