Raila Odinga in S. Sudan to support peace deal implementation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the former Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Odinga is in the country to support the government in the implementation of the agreement.

Mr. Odinga arrived in the country on Thursday last week.

The Spokesperson of the Ministry Mawen Makol told Eye Radio that in the past, Kenya went through similar experience like South Sudan.

He says Mr. Odinga has come to show solidarity with the people of South Sudan.

“He has come to congratulate the people of South Sudan for signing the document of peace and also try to stand with us on the issues of implementation because signing the peace is one thing and the implementation is another thing,” said Mawen.
