Pochalla South County Commissioner in Pibor Administrative Area was killed on Wednesday by unidentified gunmen along with his bodyguards and a senior national security officer, the police said.
National Police Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Daniel Justin confirmed the death of Mr. Ojulu Ochalla in an interview with Eye Radio on Friday morning.
He said Commissioner Ochalla was shot dead alongside his body guards when he visited Lango area where a national security captain was killed.
Another civilian was also killed in the attack.
“On date June 06TH June, a captain of national security was killed. Then the commissioner of Pochalla County and his guards went to the ground, but he was killed together with his two guards and a civilian killed, and they are three plus the national security captain,” Gen. Justin said.
“So the first incident was on 6th June, and the second incident, when the commissioner was killed, happened on date 7th June. This is what happened.”
Major General Daniel Justine says investigations into the killings are underway.
