The governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State has formed a 15-member committee to facilitate the reintegration of returnees pouring into the state from Sudan.

In a gubernatorial order, Tong Akeen Ngor formed the task-force that will also be responsible for the establishment of refugee camps for foreigners seeking refuge in the state.

The committee dubbed Sudan Crisis Border Management Taskforce will be headed by Governor Aken and deputized by Deputy Governor Tong Lual Ayat.

The task force comprising 12 other senior state officials will also mobilize funds from the national government and humanitarian agencies for the returnees.

Fighting in Sudan between the army and the Rapid Support Forces now enters the fourth week despite the declaration of ceasefires and the political engagement in Saudi Arabia.

Hundreds of people have been killed, thousands wounded and hundreds of thousands fled the country since the fighting erupted on April 15.

South Sudan Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Albino Atak says around 50 thousand people including refugees arrived in the country through 12 entry points from Maban to Raja.
