Moro Isaac elected CES youth president

The Youth in Central Equatoria have elected Moro Isaac as the president of the state Youth Union.

The vote was conducted during a two-day conference which ended yesterday in Juba.

The conference was under the theme, ‘Young People are the Social Actors of Change.’

Mr Isaac stood against Peter Lobojo, whom he defeated by 16 votes. Isaac garnered 65 votes, Lobojo 49.

The Chairperson of election moderating committee, Lomoro Robert, said the election process was free and fair.

The State Minister of Youth and Sports, Stephen Lodu, expressed his readiness to work with the youth union.

“This union is going to work hard to unite the youth and to make sure that it will encourage the programs that the youth are supposed to be engage in,” said Mr Lodu.

The newly elected president of the Central Equatoria Youth Union, Isaac Moro said youth offices will be establish in all the six counties of the state.
