JUBA, Central Equatoria (Eye Radio)Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has called on the people of Central Equatoria to prioritize national stability, declaring, “Let peace remain our guiding light,” during a Christmas Day service at St. James Bari Parish.

Addressing the congregation on Thursday, December 25, during the morning liturgy, Governor Adil emphasized that the festive season serves as a vital moment for citizens to reflect on the core values of love and sincerity.

He urged the people of Central Equatoria to carry these virtues into their daily lives as the nation prepares to transition into the New Year.

The Governor highlighted that the strength of the state lies in the unity of its people. He called on the congregants to embrace a spirit of generosity, particularly toward the less fortunate, noting that Christmas is a season for communal support and healing.

“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us also celebrate our shared identity and our commitment to a peaceful future,” the Governor stated. “We must reflect on the values of love and sincerity as we approach 2026, ensuring that peace remains our guiding light.”

The Christmas Mass was presided over by Rev. Joseph Alhaj Lo-Abe, who led the parishioners in prayer for the state’s leadership and the country’s stability.
