A boda boda motor cyclist has been found dead in Nyakuron West suburb in Juba this morning while two men were shot dead in a separate incident yesterday.

Eyewitnesses said the boda rider was severely beaten and his motorcycle taken last night by suspected robbers.

Our reporter Joakino Francis was at the scene of the incident.

“There was no police that had arrived at that moment. So, many people were calling the police to come and see, whether could take him to the hospital,” Mr Joakino says.

“From there, when we left the place, according to some eyewitnesses, that guy passed away.”

Eyewitnesses say two others were shot dead in a separate incident in Referendum ara in Munuki 107 yesterday.

Two armed men by a roadside first stopped two women returning home from a market and took all their belongings.

Two other men came on a motorbike. The gunmen responded by quickly shooting them dead.

Eyewitnesses say police forces later deployed at the scene and arrested the gunmen.

Police officials have not commented on the matter.

But previously, Central Equatoria State police commissioner said he would not be issuing statements on crime issues.

Major General Saed Shawul told Eye Radio that criminals use statements from the police to cause more harm.
