Kajo-Keji Commissioner hospitalized in Uganda

The Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County Phanuel Dumo has been hospitalized in neighboring Uganda after suffering an apparent stroke.

His eldest son, Godfrey Jai said Commissioner Dumo is in stable condition after undergoing a brain operation at Case Clinic in Kampala.

“My message to those who are in South Sudan, particularly in Kajo-Keji they should stay calm, there is a progress report from the doctor,” Godfrey told Eye Radio.

The commissioner first became ill in Kajo-Keji last week and was rushed to a hospital in Juba with brain and heart problems.

He was then transferred to the Ugandan capital on the weekend – where he underwent brain surgery.

He said his father is currently in stable condition while receiving treatment under close monitoring by the hospital doctors.

Godfrey calls on the public to ignore rumors circulated on social media about his father’s health condition.

“There is no worry, he will soon be discharged and then get back home, get a rest before he can resume his official duties. So, there is should be no more reports than what ’I’m giving that will cause more public concerns.”
