In order to increase productivity in farming, Jonglei State Minister of Agriculture has formed a youth farmers program in the state. The Youth in Agriculture Program is an initiative aimed at motivating young people to accept and appreciate farming and improve food production as a commercial venture. The County Commissioner of Twic East County Dau Akoi said the project will prove food production and create job opportunities. The program will be supported by UNDP and the State Minister of Agriculture by providing equipment and seeds to the farmers.
