Singer John Frog performed to a scintillating crowd in the Ugandan capital Kampala to officially launch his ‘The Rise of Frog’ album in a show featuring big-name artists like Eddy Kenzo, Jose Chamillione and Daddy Andre.

Frog sang the 10 tracks of his newly-launched album ‘The Rise of Frog’, signifying a magical moment in his turbulent music journey.

The Kampala concert was long announced before his return from Australia, where he had gone for a music tour.

Frog and Kenzo intoned ‘Action and Energy’ remix, before Daddy Andre emerged to stage an electrifying performance, and legendary singer Jose Chameleon swept the crowd off their feet at the Didis World in one of the biggest moment of the show.

South Sudanese music fans including socialite Mama Amira traveled to Kampala for the concert.

Frog has since received massive applause from South Sudanese music fans and musicians for his determination to trek to musical stardom through collaboration with big-name African artists.

His new album tracks are ‘My Pillow’, and ‘Konjo’ featuring Rwandan award-winning singer and songwriter Bruce Melodie, Bugatti, Nato, Junubi Asili, and Beledi featuring emerging Nigerian Afropop artist Jaywillz.

Others are Celebrate, a collaboration with Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Binia Hilwa featuring Kenya’s Bahati.

John Frog also collaborated with Ugandan Afrobeat legend Jose Chameleone to release ‘Aye’ and Ally featuring Tribes Mark and Kiflex.

In September 2022, African Muzik Magazine Awards and Music Festival (AFRIMMA) nominated John Frog under the category East Africa Best Male Artist of the Year Award alongside rapper Khaligraph Jones, Eddy Kenzo, and Diamond Platinumz.

He was also nominated for the upcoming East African Entertainment Award for the Action n’ Energy remix featuring Eddy Kenzo.
