The Chairperson of Church Leaders Mediation Initiative, Bishop Paul Yugusuk, says the Jie Community in Jonglei State has accepted to remain part of Greater Pibor Administrative Area.

After the announcement of the administration, the Jie Community said they were not consulted and declined to be part of it.

Bishop Yugusuk says the community has now accepted the administration but want to have their own county to called Najie.

“After deliberations and consultation with them ,they said they would like to come and talk about their future plans .So they have spoken their minds and they have resolved that yes they are under Greater Pibor Administrative Area, and they are requesting for the county of their own to be known as Najie.” The Bishop said.

Bishop Paul urged the Chief Administrator of Greater Pibor Area, General David Yau Yau, to treat all the communities under the administration equally.

“he should treat all these communities equally and this is how people will begin to see that he has fought for a just reason.” He said.

He also urged the Presidency to release the funds that were meant for the development of Greater Pibor.
