Human rights commissioner on impact of conflict

South Sudan Human Rights commissioner says the war has disrupted economic activities, resulting to increased rate of violence in the communities.

Fidencia Lado says most families have become less productive, and that young people have become violent due to hardship in their families.

Ms Lado also says mostly women and girls are the most affected by the conflict.

“If there was peace, families would be able to settle and produce food for its children, and get income to raise children in a proper manner,” she stressed.

The violence includes robberies and widespread killings.
