The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has returned to Juba following a several-day visit to Kajo-Keji County, where he addressed public gatherings and assessed challenges facing local communities.
Governor Adil arrived at Juba International Airport on Tuesday morning and was received by senior state officials, including Deputy Governor Paulino Lukudu Obede.
According to his office, the visit was part of efforts to share messages of peace, security stabilization, and election preparedness with communities at the grassroots level.
During the trip, Governor Adil pledged support for several development projects, including the construction of new offices for the Kajo-Keji County headquarters. His office said he committed $10,000 toward the project.
The governor also visited Liwolo Payam, where he toured the historic Morta military training center and proposed its transformation into the Morta School of Cadres Development and Moral Orientation.
According to his office, he pledged 100,000,000 South Sudanese Pounds for the construction of the facility.
Governor Adil also discussed key challenges facing the county, including the presence of Ambororo cattle herders, border-related concerns with Uganda, and the condition of Kajo-Keji Hospital.
Other issues raised during the visit included the Juba–Kajo-Keji road and the rehabilitation of bridges. According to his office, the state government is working with the national government to facilitate the start of construction works.
