The UN Mission in South Sudan says one of its Ethiopian military peacekeepers was killed on Monday during a shooting at its camp in Tongpiny suburb in Juba.
The cause of the shooting is still unclear, but there are reports that it was caused by a disagreement within a section of the Ethiopian contingent, which later resulted in exchange of fire.
In a statement to Eye Radio, UNMISS Public Information Officer Shantal Persand said the deceased died of gunshot wounds at a hospital.
Ms Persand says the matter is currently under investigation by the mission in conjunction with the Ethiopian Contingent.
