Eye Radio on Sunday handed out Certificates of Recognition to musicians whose tracks were ranked by listeners as the most popular songs in the country from April to May 2023.

The awards, issued by the organization’s Chief Executive Officer Stephen Omiri, were given out on Sunday, June 18, in an event broadcasted live during the Top 10 Music Countdown and online.

The exceptional South Sudanese songs which dominated the station’s Top 10 Music chart in the last two months have been voted by Eye Radio listeners on the daily Soundtrack Show.

The tracks are Focus by Single Dee, Anataban – Marko Atem, Lesegu – WJ the King, Zaman Towil – Neetah Baibe, and Kolo – Talia Fisher.

Among the outstanding tracks are also Konjo, a remix by John Frog featuring Bruce Melodie, Binia Jeran by Gen, Downloader, Alela De – Hardlife Avenue Stars, My Type – Navy Gabana and Wani – Irene Toss.

Others are Tebia – Andrew Kays, Amul Haja Jedid by gospel singer Levi Leviticus, Mata Stagil – Mizaya Emmy featuring WJ the King, Y’en ci Ben – Ugly Facil, Mashallah – Woja Music and South Sudan Oyee by Black Queen.

The station’s News Editor Lasuba Memo presented the certificates of recognition to the artistes or their managers who have come on their behalf.

Singers WJ the King, Neetah Babe, Single Dee, and Talia Fisher were personally present and performed in the studio as they receive their awards one after the other.

The other winners sent their managers and representatives.

According to the organization, the event was initiated to acknowledge and appreciate artistes who topped the charts for their talents and motivate them to persevere in their music journey.

In 2016, MTN and Eye Radio organized the biggest music award in South Sudan – awarding about 20 winners from the South Sudan Music industry.
