Sixteen people suspected of causing insecurity in Eastern Equatoria have been arrested, according to an official.

This comes during a one week Peace and Justice Mission campaign to arrest suspected criminals in Greater Kapoeta.

The peace initiative is led by organized forces supported by the SPLA.

Those arrested individuals include three most wanted killers and their leader Losike Angelo. They are said to be behind deadly attacks and cattle raiding incidents in the area.

The organized forces have recovered more than 100 cattle that were raided recently.

Governor Louis Lobong said the mission targets cattle rustlers, robbers and those involved in unnecessary killing in the state. He added that they will also proceed to Torit.
