Education ministry set to build 25 schools this year

The Ministry of Education says it will start the construction of more than 25 schools across the country this month to improve access to education.

Undersecretary Michael Lopuke says this is part of plans to build more than 80 schools across the country.

He says building of the schools will improve the learning environment for pupils who are currently studying under trees.

“These are full schools with 8 classrooms with everything needed like fence and water pump and this are parts of this year ministry’s package,” Lopuke said.

The construction will be completed within three months.

He added that the government will train teachers and deploy them in the schools.
