The Lulu Works Multipurpose Cooperative Society has launched a new factory in Kajo-Keji, Central Equatoria state that will manufacture cosmetics and body lotions from shea-nuts.

The cooperative society’s accountant and information officer, Lominsuk Simon says the shea-nuts sourced from within the area.

He says the factory will then carryout the manufacturing process and export some of the products.

Mr. Simon says the products will not contain harmful chemicals. He urged the public to conserve shea-nut trees because of its resourcefulness.

“The cooperative society processing industry also intends to protect the lulu or shea trees natural resource for the people of Kajo-Keji County as well as South Sudan.

“shea trees are internationally known natural trees that produce a very important product. Therefore we need to conserve these trees.”

Shea butter is known for improvement and healing of different skin conditions.
