Civil Society organizations are calling for the representation of political parties in the final round of talks in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The final round of the IGAD-led peace talks commenced yesterday.
Beny Gideon, a member of South Sudan Law Society, says the peace dialogue cannot be comprehensive with their absence.
He told Eye Radio in Addis Ababa that presence of all stakeholders to the talks will prove the legitimacy of the transitional government once formed.
“There is no peace agreement without the political parties because the political parties know politics very well and they also participate in nation building,” Mr Gideon argued.
“If they are not here in the negotiations, I am not sure how they are going to format the transitional government without political parties.
In August last year, the political parties boycotted the peace talks after a disagreement over leadership.
