The Commissioner of Twic East County, Jonglei State says two children from one family were abducted yesterday in an attack by unidentified people.
The children are twins, of about 11 years.
Dau Akoi Jurkuch says the incident took place last night at around 7pm in Penyaliek village.
He told Eye Radio that the abductors went away with the children.
“They took them and disappear with them, people of the village tried to run after the children to rescue them but they never succeeded, and up to now the family is very sorrowful for what happened,” he said.
Commissioner Akoi says his administration is working with authorities in Pibor Administrative Area to track the abductors.
