Caretaker Foreign Minister listens to senior officials on ministry operations
Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Amb. Cecilia Adut Manyok Adeng on Friday convened a senior working breakfast with the ministry’s top officials, listening to briefings on its operations, challenges and priorities.
The meeting brought together Directors-General and Directors from the ministry’s specialized departments, with Undersecretary Amb. Agnes Adlino Orifa Oswaha also in attendance.
Senior officials briefed the caretaker minister on the ministry’s structure and functions, its regional and international engagements, and ongoing institutional initiatives.
They also highlighted key challenges facing the ministry, including coordination gaps, institutional capacity needs and priorities requiring attention in the period ahead.
The engagement gave Amb. Adut an opportunity to hear directly from senior leadership and gain an initial understanding of the ministry’s work as she begins her tenure as caretaker minister.
