CAF official inspects Juba Stadium

An Inspector from Confederation of African Football (CAF)  MR Abas Seionyao arrived in the country yesterday morning from the Ugandan capital, Kampala, to preview Juba Stadium.

CAF had earlier declined to allow Juba Stadium to host international games as well as African champions league and confederation cups.

The move had forced Atlabara FC and Malakia FC to play their matches in Sudanese stadiums last season.

Meanwhile, South Sudan football Association has held the maintenance on Juba Stadium this month.

Sport lovers in general and the administrations of both teams will wait for response of CAF from the inspector’s report to confirm whether Juba Stadium will host CAF games this season.

Malakia Fc, the champion of South Sudan premier league will face Kano Pillars F.C. of Nigeria. The Ghazala FC play against Petrojet of Egypt in one of the days from the 13th to the 15th  of February.

The matches will take place at Juba Stadium in the case of a positive response from CAF on whether it will be the scene of the games.
