A South Sudanese businesswoman is calling on the government to join hands with other well-wishers to help facilitate humanitarian assistance to civilians fleeing the conflict in Sudan.

Atong Amos Agook, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Triple A Group, is among some South Sudanese well-wishers evacuating returnees from northern Upper Nile State.

She said her company will continue to work with relevant government agencies as well as humanitarian organizations and concerned citizens to provide humanitarian support to South Sudanese citizens that were recently evacuated from Sudan.

Speaking during the reception of evacuated South Sudanese citizens, Atong who is a renowned businesswoman, entrepreneur and philanthropist said her company has so far evacuated nearly 200 South Sudanese citizens from Paloch to Juba.

“Triple A Group recently evacuated over 180 South Sudanese citizens who were trapped in different parts of Sudan as a result of the ongoing fighting between the Sudan Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces but evacuating them to safety is not enough,” said Atong.

“We will continue to provide them with the necessary support so that they can settle in back home”.

She added that these evacuated citizens need shelter, food, water and medical assistance.

“We are calling on the Government of South Sudan, humanitarian agencies and other concerned individuals to support Triple A Group in this humanitarian work so as to help our suffering people,” she said.

On Wednesday, Triple A Group chartered a plane from Tarco Company to evacuate over 180 South Sudanese citizens from Sudan to South Sudan.
