A businesswoman has offered to provide medical treatment and psychological healing to the 18-year-old survivor of domestic violence – whose eyes were gouged by her father in Tonj East County of Warrap State.

Sarah Enock Machiek, widow of Manawa Peter Gatkuoth, the former Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, told Eye Radio that she will pay for the survivor’s air tickets, treatment, and accommodation in Juba.

Akot Agany Kut is suffering grave eyes injuries after she was tortured by her father over her choice of partner.

Photos of her gouged eyes shocked internet and prompted condemnations from citizens and activists.

She is currently admitted to Wau Teaching Hospital, where she has been transferred from a health facility in Tonj East County.

Sarah Enock, who has decided to provide for her medication said she hopes that the government will administer justice for the teenager.

“I want to take up this issue from the side of treatment, and then from the legal perspective, am sure the government will take up and it will account for this criminal,” she said in an interview via WhatsApp.

“She will arrive tomorrow because I have already catered for the tickets and accommodation and feeding here in Juba and also we have booked the hospital here in Juba which is Egyptian clinic.”

“After the medical report, we will decide where we should take her, and also I communicate with my beloved sister Dr. Atong, the specialist of Psychologist and she welcomes the idea and she will assist us.”

Suspect Angelo Agany was arrested by Tonj East County authorities last week for allegedly torturing her daughter by gouging her eyes over her rejection of an arranged marriage.

A human rights activist condemned the domestic violence act of the policeman against her daughter.
