The former mayor of Juba town, Muhamad Bab-Allah, has refused to represent SPLM –IO in the national parliament.

On Wednesday, the leader of the Opposition Dr. Riek Machar appointed Mr Bab Allah as an SPLM-IO MP representing Jubek state.

“I’ve not been consulted and I’m not even with them. I have rejected the appointment and I’m not part of the SPLM-IO,” Mr Bab Allah Eye Radio this morning. “I still remain an SPLM main stream.”

He was appointed along other 49 members. The list is based on the previous 10 states.

According to the list, 24 MPs come from Upper Nile region, 14 from Equatoria, and 12 from Bahr el Ghazal.
