The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs says the parties to the conflict in South Sudan have agreed to implement the cease-fire agreement according to Sudanese news website.

A six member-meeting on South Sudan, which was facilitated by China was hosted by Khartoum yesterday.

According to the Sudanese website, Sudan News Agency, Kerti said the participants agreed to support the IGAD efforts for realization of peace and stability in South Sudan.

The website reports that the just concluded meeting has seen the warring parties agree to speed up peace process through negotiations in Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa and to form a transitional government of National Unity as soon as possible.

It stated that Kerti said that the Government of South Sudan and the SPLM-SPLA in Opposition have also agreed to take concrete measures to improve humanitarian situations in areas affected by the conflict.
