The World Food Program says more than 250,000 internally displaced people in Upper Nile State are receiving food assistance delivered through Sudan.
In July 2014, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Sudan and South Sudan to allow passage of humanitarian assistance.
In a joint statement with partners, WFP says good coordination and collaboration between the two governments has enabled the delivery of nearly 5,000 metric tons of food assistance since last year.
It said the food has been distributed to people mainly in Maban, Melut, Renk and Wadakona.
