A company contracted to facilitate National Communication Authority’s jobs recruitment process said Thursday 225 of the over 3,000 candidates who did an oral interview for vacant positions at the institution have made it to the final stage.

In November 2023, NCA tasked private firm Bridge Employment Solution to administer a written test to 3,000 candidates – the best of whom are expected to fill 87 positions at the Freedom Hall in Juba.

3,625 candidates were short-listed for the vacant positions.

These include Information Technology Officers, Customs Clearance, facilities officers, state coordinators, finance analysts, Postal Service Regulatory Officers, and Planning Resource Officers.

Others are Traffic Analysis Service Officers, Numbering and Planning Officers, Value added Service Officers, among others.

Madut Akol Nhial, the Managing Director of Bridge Employment Solutions said out of the candidates, only 225 passed the oral interview and they will be subjected to a second screening.

Akol added that all those interviewed for the development manager posts, including Service Officers and Archives officers failed the interview.

“That result was sorted out and to our surprise, out of the 3,625, we only have 225 applicants who have passed an oral interview and there are three positions where no one has passed including development manager post.”

He was speaking on Thursday on state-owned television SSBC while handing over the recruitment report to the National Communication Authority.

“None of the applicants reached even 50 % also the post of Value-added Service Officers and Archives officers.”

On his part, the Director of the National Communication Authority, Napoleon Adok Gai thanked the hired firm for meeting the institution’s expectations.

“I would like to thank Bridge Employment Solutions for meeting our inspection it was a challenge,” Adok said.

“Our request for people with high skills is not only for technology but also for integrity. People that we know at any time can represent South Sudan either in the UN or EU or East Africa and we can’t do that we gust work.”
