2 injured in Eco Bus attack

An eyewitness says gunmen shot at an Eco Bus in Loa along the Nimule-Juba road this morning, injuring two passengers.

The eyewitness says the group of gunmen hurled a grenade on the bus and opened fire, injuring the driver’s assistant and one passenger.

“Now we are in an army barrack, waiting for soldiers to accompany us,” the eyewitness told Eye Radio.

The manager of Eco Bus says they have sent another bus to bring the passengers to Juba.

On Sunday, National Police Service says a group of armed men stopped a Friendship bus on the road in Jebellein and opened fire on the passengers; one person was killed and two others injured.

Similar incidents have been reported on the road over the past few weeks.
