One person is missing from yesterday’s attack on buses along Juba-Nimule highway, the SPLA has said.

Three commercial buses belonging to Eco bus, Gateway, and Friendship companies were shot at, wounding a passenger.

Eco bus was then set ablaze by the attackers. The identity of the missing passenger is yet to be revealed.

A conductor for the Friendship bus, Ismael who survived the ambush, told Eye Radio that the attackers wore military uniform.

He said the assailants looted valuables and loaded them onto trucks.

The attacks on Juba-Nimule highway have been recurrent despite deployment of military patrols.

The SPLA spokesperson, Brigadier Lul Ruai, says the army is unable to cover the entire highway.

He said the attackers often target areas without the presence of the SPLA.
