A woman has been killed and several others wounded in a road ambush in Chuei Nyok village in Bor County, an official has said.

County Commissioner Isaac Mamer Ruk says a vehicle was travelling to Jalle area when it was attacked by suspected cattle raiders yesterday afternoon.

He says those injured were taken to Bor Hospital for treatment.

Mr Mamer says according to an investigation, the came from the neighboring Pibor.

Authorities from Pibor have not commented on the matter.
