Akoon South Payam Administrator in Gogrial West says traditional courts have re-opened.

The courts had stopped working to allow the people of the area to go for farming activities.

Simon Apet, administrator of Akoon Payam, says courts were closed during the rainy season to help farmers cultivate their land.

Only crime and adultery cases were in progress during the cultivation period.

‘Currently the court chiefs have been informed officially to take up their roles,’ Mr Apet said.

Mr. Simon Apet says he wants chiefs to conduct cases fairly and without delay in order to avoid problems.
