Three missing in Tonj South raiding found alive

The three people who went missing in Tonj South County of Warrap State during a cattle raiding incident last week, have returned home safely, the state information official said.

Warrap State Information Minister William Wol Mayom said the security personnel and two cattle-keepers managed to come back alone.

Wol said they were reported missing after their car broke down in the bush on March 10 – the day when armed youth from Cueibet County in Lakes State raided a cattle camp in Tonj South.

“They have actually returned to the side of Tonj South, they came alone when the car broke down in the bush they came alone,” he told Eye Radio.

Over the weekend, the government of Lake State returned 107 cattle that were raided by a group of armed youth from Cuiebet County of Lake state.

Wol Mayom says the three missing people managed to come back alone when the car taking them broke into the bush.
